Dear Parents and Guardians:
Welcome back! We hope you and your family had a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer. As we prepare for the new school year, enclosed are the forms and instructions needed to complete the Federal & State School Breakfast, Lunch, and Summer EBT application.
Please remember that only
one application should be completed per household, listing all family members. Foster children require a separate application. Families also have the option to apply online at
www.myschoolapps.com.
The expansion of the Working Class Families' Anti-Hunger Act has increased the income eligibility guidelines, allowing more families to qualify for meal benefits. To ensure your child's meal benefit status is in place for the first day of school, please submit your application online or return the completed paper application as soon as possible, preferably before the first day of school.

Our MySchoolApps online application is now available for the 2026-2027 school year. We encourage all families to complete their application today.
Please note that any outstanding meal charges or credit balances from previous school years will carry over into the 2026-2027 school year. Families can manage student meal accounts through
www.myschoolbucks.com using Heartland's online payment system. This service allows you to:
- Make meal account deposits
- View account activity and purchases
- Monitor spending
- Set up low-balance email reminders
To help avoid negative balances, we recommend maintaining at least a two-week meal balance in your child's account. If you do not wish for your child to purchase snacks using their meal account, please send a written note to your school's cafeteria.
Please remember that all negative meal balances are the responsibility of the parent or guardian. If your child's eligibility for free or reduced-price meals changes after October 14, 2026, you will be responsible for any meal charges incurred after that date.
If your child has a food allergy or requires a dietary accommodation, please provide a physician's note to your school's cafeteria. The information will be entered into our system to help ensure your child's dietary needs are met and will be available to cafeteria staff each time your child makes a purchase.

School breakfast will begin on September 8th and will be available free of charge to all students.
